Le Bournaguet is a U-shaped, south-facing, farmhouse remodeled into a charming manor, built on 2 levels and comprising 3 separate buildings, which have been joined together and converted to the highest standards of comfort and efficiency. As a deliberate feature, the bedrooms are well separated from the living rooms and play/gym/cinema rooms as well as from the pool and tennis to allow a considerable degree of peace and privacy for each guest staying on the property. As an example, the main living room is at the opposite and on a different floor vs. the cinema/gym/game room and you cannot see the pool or the tennis from the house.
4 out of 7 bedrooms have air conditioning, flat screen TV’s with most features (Apple TV+, Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney+ and Blue Ray DVD players).
The Master bedroom also has a humidifier and a TV which has additional features (like the cinema room and main living room: antenna’s international channels/Canal+/CanalSat and Rakuten).
Wing ”A”
Ground Floor:
Entrance Hall – Main entrance is through the sliding glass front doors with similar doors at the other end of the hall that lead to the south-facing courtyard at the centre of the “U”.
In the centre of the “U” is a south-facing courtyard with a dining table seating 10, shaded by a large sun umbrella.
Accessed from the kitchen/dining/living Area is the west-facing terrace, with a table seating 12, shaded by trees and a large sun umbrella. Nearby is the real wood barbecue.
Kitchen/Dining/Living area – opening to the right of the hall is an extensive open plan living area comprising a ‘no-expense-spared’ kitchen and dining table seating 14. The kitchen includes 2 ovens, 4 electric hobs and 2 gas rings, a grill and deep-fryer, a microwave, 3 fridges and 3 freezers, 2 dishwashers, a blender, 2 toasters, 3 coffee makers and a double sink with a waste disposal unit, 3 bins for recycling, etc. Next to the dining table, the sitting area has a massive wood-burning fireplace and 2 very comfortable armchairs and 2 sitting chairs.
Main living Room – through the kitchen/dining/living area, this large-high ceiling room features a picture window at its far end and glass doors opening onto the terraces on either side. The sitting room also comprises comfortable sofas and armchairs, a wood-burning fireplace, satellite flat-screen TV (with international channels, Apple TV+, Disney+, Netflix, Amazon Prime, Canal+/CanalSat, CD and Blue Ray DVD players), a radio and a Sonos bluetooth music speaker.
Separate W.C.
First Floor:
Bedroom 1 – at the end of the corridor a spacious bedroom with a high, beamed ceiling, a 6ft-wide bed which can be split into 2 singles, and windows facing east and west for all day sun, and all TV features.
Bathroom 1 – with a bath and an overhead shower, twin washbasins, a bidet and a W.C.
Bedroom 2 – with a beamed ceiling and twin beds with windows facing west and north.
Wing “B” (Which forms the base of the ‘U’)
Ground Floor:
Entrance area with the two glass sliding doors.
Bedroom 3 – with twin beds, a glass door and a window facing north.
Bedroom 4 – a children’s room with 3 single beds, flat-screen TV with all features and north-facing glass door giving at the bottom of the outdoor staircase.
Bathroom 2 – this lies between bedrooms 3 and 4, with lockable doors opening into each of them and comprising a bath with an overhead shower, twin washbasins and a bidet, a window facing north.
Separate W.C.
First Floor:
Opening off a short flight of stairs between Wing A and Wing B:
Separate W.C. – comprising a W.C, bidet and washbasin.
Bedroom 5 – with a wide comfortable 6 ft-wide bed which can be split into 2 singles (although remaining within a single frame). A window faces north.
Bathroom 3 – with a bath, overhead shower, washbasin and bidet with small window facing north.
Utility room – with 2 large washing machines, a tumble dryer, an ironing board and an iron, a large table, a coffee machine and a double sink. All sheets and towels are stored in large closets along furnitures. An outside staircase descends to the gravelled area at the front of the house and room 4. There are 2 beds for visiting staff in this utility room if staff is not staying at staff’s house, at their home or else.
Wing “C” (accessed via a passageway on the ground floor of Wing B, and forming the third side of the “U”)
Ground Floor:
Bedroom 6 – with a 5 ft-wide bed, glass-panelled doors on 2 sides (north and east), a wood-burning fireplace and a TV (and all its features). It also has a screen, keyboards & pointer/pad which station easily plugs in a laptop computer via a USB port for work.
A scanner/printer/fax.
Bedroom 7 – This is the “Master bedroom” with a 6 ft-wide bed which can be split into 2 singles, glass-panelled doors on 3 sides (south, east and west), a wood-burning fireplace, extra large flat screen TV (with satellite, Canal+/CanalSat, Apple TV+, Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney+ and Rakuten). It also enjoys a private terrace to sunbathe or read (table, chairs). It includes a safe and a humidifier.
Bathroom 4 – this lies between bedrooms 6 and 7, with lockable doors opening into each of them and comprising a bath, a separate shower, a separate bidet and W.C.
First Floor:
TV/Movie/Games Room – with a TV projector and a surround-sound system, plus children’s electronic games Playstation, TV (with satellite TV, international channels, Canal+/CanalSat, Apple TV+, Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney+, Blue-Ray DVD), and hundred of DVDs.
Exercise Room/Game – with working-out equipment on thick padded floor, yoga mattress, massage table, etc.
